Why do some Christains believe it is wrong to have biracial relationships? Black man and white woman?

My parents are completely convinced that God is against me being with a black man. Where in the bible can I prove that we are all equal? Why do some Christains believe it is wrong to have biracial relationships? Black man and white woman?
There is nothing in the bible that promotes racism. Nothing at all! There is nothing wrong with you dating a black man. Here's some proof from the Bible:

Proof that God does not support racism:

Acts:10:9-28 (God tells Peter not to call any man unclean)

Galatians 3:28

Numbers 12:1-16

You should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. So date another Christian. He can be of any color. Why do some Christains believe it is wrong to have biracial relationships? Black man and white woman?
i don't remember where it is in the bible anymore. But it involves adam and his wife before she is called eve. In it they claim in the translation that god is stating it is wrong to date out of ones race. However, there is not DIRECT references its only interpretations. But, there are many references direct and indirect about dating out of one's religion which is considered wrong.

Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers.';(II Corinthians chapter 6, verses 14-18)

that is the main thing MAJORITY of christians will take over the race/ethicnity.

Give them time, or you may just end up having to choose between them and him.
Because of the negative feelings that go along with interracial dating, it is often something that is difficult to overcome. I think you know that morally it is not right to exclude a guy from your consideration simply because he is black. The thing that matters is that a guy will treat you with respect.

As far as biblical support for your cause, try Leviticus 19:18, Numbers 12, and James 2:1-10.
We ARE equal...we don't need the bible to prove it...and most importantly, YOU believe that we're equal.

Also, there's nohing wrong with biracial relationships, and the reason some people are against it, may not be because of christianity, but it's because they're just plain racists..
lol, they must really be some confused christians....

My father is black and my mother is white, and they're both Christians, theres nothing wrong with it...

and there's no reason they should believe that. (not in the bible)

It's just discrimination from years and years ago.

God is your priority right?

(:

I'm biracial and my parents are practicing catholics so its not the same for all Christians.

As for the bible part you can point out that Moses was an Israelite/Canaanite and he married a woman from present day Ethiopia.
I don't know, but I've never heard of such a thing. I have the utmost respect for those who follow a religion, but I can't stand it when they use it as a crutch or an excuse to support claims that aren't true! Good luck finding a passage...
I've never heard anything like that before in the Bible.

It sounds like they're using a religion as an excuse to be racist. Just tell them how juvenile that is.
