I am having a daughter, this is our first child and I was just wondering what is your husbands relationship like with your daughter? Especially if you only have one?Relationships between dad and daughters?
I have a 4 year old girl who is the light of my life and the most important thing in the world to me. When I'm at work, I miss her terribly and when I get home in the evening, she yells ';daddy!'; and runs into my arms.
We have a son as well, but my daughter and I have a very special relationship. When she was born, my wife suffered severe PPD and wanted nothing to do with her for the first few months. In the hospital, I would wander the halls, sometimes for hours, with my girl in my arms, trying to keep her happy. When we came home, I was the one who fed her, changed her and played with her until my wife finally felt up to doing it. I loved that little girl then, and I love her more each and every day.
She and my wife are out of town right now, visiting family, and I dread going home tonight because my little girl won't be there.Relationships between dad and daughters?
All of my daughters are very close with their father. I would say they are daddy's girls especially my 15 year old she's always been very close with her father. My other daughters are only a year and a half but there close with there daddy also. My 15 year old is just as willing to talk to her father about stuff as she is to me and I'm very happy to say that.
My grandmother always says that Cheyenne use to ';look at her father like he fell out of the sky.'; ... I think it's a compliment. From the day she was born, she would stare at him wide eyed and content. They had a good bond :)
She would have been a total Daddy's girl if he hadn't disappeared for a few months to be with another woman. But that's another story.
Anyhow, they had an instant special relationship. She seemed to like her dad even more than she liked me. And I was ok with that because I wanted to see my family happy. But since he broke it - he has never been able to get it back. (It has been over 6 years)
I hope that you, your daughter, and your husband all have an amazing relationship together. Complete with father/daughter date nights, adventures, sweet bedtime stories and songs, and everything else good that comes with it.
I was worried about this too...
My husband was really nervous and scared to hold our daughter when she was born. He hardly touched her besides laying next to her and changing a wet diaper every now and then. She has always been such a daddy's girl (except when she's hurt, she only wants mom!)
When she was old enough to play around with, he would roll her around, throw her in the air, take her on little 4 wheeler rides, take her fishing... they just can't get enough of each other! He always wanted a little boy, a while back he said even if we never had a boy it would be okay because she loves to do EVERYTHING! The other day she climbed into the front of the truck and sat next to him and said, ';Dad, I'm your little buddy.'; (she just turned 2)
I think no matter what kind of personality men have, as long as they have a heart, it will melt when it comes to their little girls. ;)
well everythin was good til i became a teen and came out about a year ago (im 15 now)
now its like puttin two lobsters in a box were always fightin we never agree with anythin hes always tryin stop me from doin stuff and we jus generally do not get on.. lol but thats me an my dad
everyones different
Me and my dad are ';okay';
Im more with my mom.
Since were both girls.
We can talk about anything, and i can learn from her.
I eat dinner with family so i end up talking to my dad.
But it all depends (:
My daughter is daddys little girl. He's really good with her. he's strict with her and wont let her wear certain clothes and jokes about answering the door with a gun to her first date. Pretty typical.
Well, our daughter is just 6 and 1/2 months old, but she seems to be a daddy's girl already. He is very hands on and spends lots of time with her. They adore each other!
My daughter is 14 months old and LOVES her Da Da. When he comes home she goes running to the door. They love each other so much I am tearing up just thinking about it!
they need to be healthy
